DEVELOPMENT:
mechanics and components of this setup have been developed by KApicco.de during the last year. the most important change were the new generation cells of etec, lithium-ion-polymer, as well as in bigger helis like joker or logo 20. due to this new generation batteries and the head rpm (over 3200) you can fly extreme maneuvers. flight time with this setup is 8 minutes of 3d-power.

WEAROUT:
regular change and maintnance of the head ball bearings as well as the steel hub are important.

SWASHPLATE:
disassemble the swashplate, and glue the ball bearing with ca inside again.

technical details, at 340gr ready-to-fly weight:
MOTOR hacker b20l-18w 3000 rpm/V, kontronik smile 30-6-12 stripped  
 

a head rpm of 3225 results of a 10:100 gear. the kit included steel pinion can be used.

solder the motor connectors directly to the esc.

a shaft collar is strongly recommended.

BATTERY 3x etec-1200 1.2 ah on ikarus plug&go  
 

the new generation of lithium-ion-polymer cells can be discharged with up to 10 ampere. at 11v you will get a rpm of the motor of 33000 rpm.

use pre made packs or carefully solder 3 cells serially. do not short circuit, the cells will take damage and cannot be used again.

MECHANICS alu-head, steel hub, delrin-one-way, 20 cm brass steel-hiller  
 

an increased agility for flips or loops can be achieved with a 20cm hiller.

the hiller has to be keyed at the endings. tighten the screws as much as you can, for they can come off at this rpm very easily.

simprop ses-85 servos are used in this case.

TAIL futaba gy-401, hf-100 (modified)  
 

solder the signal-cable of the gy-401 to the hf-100 (modified), alternatively schulze slim 105-he) .

delay = 0, gain= 71%, pirouette = 120.

TAILMOTOR gws ips1-dx-c carbon brushes  
 

this motor has a lifetime (intense usage) of 3-4 months and has to be replaced then.

use a 10 teeth pinion to achieve sufficiend power at 11v. the tail stays rock solid, even in extreme situations.

BLADES ikarus symmetrical wooden blades, heavy ca-support (see picture)  
 

glue the black plastic socket inside the blades.

the entire area has to be heavly sealed with ca for you will have centrifugal forces up to 15 kg at each blade.
